Triple distilled for a smooth and balanced taste. Jameson is a mellow whiskey with floral and vanilla notes as well as sherry undertones and an exceptionally smooth finish. Jameson Original is a blend of pot still and grain whiskey triple distilled and aged in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Jameson is 40% alcohol by volume (ABV). That is the minimum ABV allowed for spirits to be called whiskey in UK law. As a comparison when whiskey is put in the barrel to age it's probably near 70% ABV. By law, Irish whiskey has to be aged at least 3 years in oak barrels.
