Licorice is the plant of the Legume, family, native to Southern Europe and Asia. The botanical name is, Glycyrrhiza Glabra.
Licorice root is a rich source of glycyrrhizin, flavonoid, coumarins, and phytoestrogens.
Licorice root is an excellent expectorant, soothes a sore throat, improves breathing, supports digestion and Adrenal health, and provides relief from dry cough and heartburn.
Licorice root has lubricating, moisturizing properties, which help to soothe a dry cough, quench thirst, promote digestion and balance excess acidity in the stomach. Licorice also supports adrenal and thus improves the bodyâs reaction to stress.
Licorice root powder can be used as a sweetener and candy flavoring agent. Licorice has synergistic effects with most herbal supplements. Add a pinch of licorice powder to your herbal powder to make your supplements more palatable and to increase their effectiveness.

Suggested Use
2 to 10 gm/day. You can take this in divided doses.
Do not exceed the daily intake of Licorice Root powder from the recommended amount (Not more than 70gm/day). Excessive consumption of Licorice may result in hypokalemia, increase in blood pressure, and muscle weakness.
